GreenDay berharap album baru yg kemungkinan akan rilis thn ini akan kembali meledak di pasaran. Album ini kan berbeda dg album "American Idiot". Website music news mengatakan bahwa GreenDay akan meninggalkan tema album American Idiot. Tapi belum diketahui bocorn tenteng konsep album baru GreenDy ini. So, better wait and see guys.

Biografi :

The Used yang dipunggawai oleh Bert McCracken, Quinn Allman, Jeph Howard, dan Branden Steineckert ini dibentuk di Orem, Utah, AS awal tahun 2001.

Sebelum menjadi The Used, para personilnya sempat mendirikan Strange Itch dan Dumb Luck yang akhirnya berevolusi menjadi The Used.

Berawal dari demo yang mereka buat, The Used berhasil mendapat kontrak rekaman dari Reprise Records dan merekam album pertama mereka THE USED. Album yang diluncurkan tahun 2002 ini berhasil meraih gold album.

Keberhasilan ini disusul dengan kesuksesan album kedua mereka IN LOVE AND DEATH yang dilansir dua tahun kemudian. Sayangnya, dua tahun kemudian, Branden Steineckert, sang drummer memutuskan mundur dari The Used.

Posisi drummer kemudian diganti oleh
Dan Whitesides mantan drummer New Transit Direction. Sementara Branden Steineckert kemudian bergabung dengan Rancid menggantikan drummer Brett Reed.

Tahun 2007, The Used kembali meluncurkan studio album. Album yang dilepas pada bulan Mei 2007 ini diberi judul LIES FOR THE LIARS dan sempat masuk 10 besar tangga lagu di AS, Canada, dan Australia.

My Chemical Romance adalah grup band yang menurut media bergenre pop punk,[1] post-hardcore,[1] "punk revival",[1] rock alternatif. Namun grup ini mendeskripsikan musik mereka sebagai musik "rock" atau "pop yang kasar",[2] dan menolak diklasifikasikan sebagai emo.[3] Grup ini telah merilis tiga album yaitu I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love pada tahun 2002, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge pada tahun 2004, dan The Black Parade pada tahun 2006.

Band ini mendapat inspirasi dari Queen, Black Flag, Iron Maiden, The Misfits, Morissey, At the Gates, Pink Floyd, The Smashing Pumpkins, Descendents, Pantera, The Cure, dan The Smiths.

Meski namanya The Virgin Band, namun lebih pas disebut duo. Digawangi oleh dua cewek cantik, Dara dan Mitha, The Virgin telah meramaikan blantika musik Indonesia dengan hits andalan mereka 'Cinta Terlarang'. The Virgin merupakan band yang berada di bawah naungan Republik Cinta Management (RCM) yang presideni oleh pentolan group band Dewa 19 Ahmad Dhani.

Dara Rizki Ruhiana atau lebih dikenal dengan Dara 'Mamamia' yang sekarang berubah lagi menjadi Dara The Virgin (lahir di Tasikmalaya, 9 Agustus 1991; umur 16 tahun) adalah finalis Mamamia Show 2008 berpasangan dengan Mama Nunung. Langkahnya di Mamamia Show terhenti dibabak show keenam. Sulung dari tiga bersaudara pasangan Asep Ruhiat dan Nunung Mardiana ini memiliki kegemaran renang, nyanyi dan lari pagi. Jangan heran bila penyuka warna kuning dan hitam ini memiliki badan yang sehat.

Kegemaran menyanyi rupanya membuat Dara juga menyukai film-film India. Selain itu pemakan daging dan sambal ekstra pedas ini juga rupanya menggemari kegiatan membaca novel.

Pemilik nama lengkap Mitha ini awalnya banyak bergaul dengan band-band indie. Hingga namanya mulai dikenal di blantika musik Indonesia sejak ditarik oleh Ahmad Dhani dalam formasi The Rock Indonesia.

Di awal tahun 2009, wanita kelahiran Jakarta 2 Januari 1986 ini tergabung ke Band The Virgin bersama Dara. Meski sudah jadi artis dan penuh kesibukan, anak Emmy Sofyana ini masih suka jajan bakso.

Profil Band Kotak

Berawal dari kontes Dream Band yang digelar tahun 2004 lalu, terbentuklah sebuah band bernama Kotak yang terdiri dari para personil yang telah diseleksi sebelumnya yaitu Cella (gitar), Ices (bass), Pare (vocal) dan Posan (drum).

Kotak adalah satu-satunya band yang mengusung jenis musik modern rock dan bernuansa sedikit 'dark'. Dengan menampilkan sound distorsi yang gahar ala band-band nu metal atau modern rock namun juga dengan teknik solo gitar yang keren.
Bisa dibilang, tanpa adanya Dreamband 2004 enggak bakalan ada band yang bernama Kotak. Kotak sebagai juara mendapatkan kesempatan dibuatkan album solo berjudul sama. Dengan formasi dua cowok, dua cewek memang Kotak cukup memikat dengan gaya gothicnya. Simak saja salah satu komentar dari juri Dreamband 2004.

Profil Atanibosha band

MeNgaPa Atanibosha??

Mengapa kami memberi nama band kami ini Atanibosha?? Lebih baik tanya aa' Rizky
saja...!!! Sebenarnya Atinibosha, namun biar lebih berbau Jepang makanya jadi
Atanibosha. Atinibosha sendiri berasal dari bahasa Arab yaitu "a'tinibosha"
yang artinya berikan aku ciuman. Berhubung para personilnya merupakan
fans dari J-Rock's, Kemudian nama itu diganti dengan Atanibosha yang lebih
berbau Jepang. Namun, dalam bahasa Arab Atanibosha berarti aku telah diberi
ciuman. Pokoknya gitulah...

AwaLnya.......

Atanibosha ini merupakan penggabungan dari dua band (The Independence band dan
VTR band). Awalnya Eric, Hadi, Syamsul dan Rizky merupakan personil dari band
Independence. Saat masih di Independence, Eric merupakan seorang bassist
sementara Hadi adalah seorang gitarist. Band Independence ini bertahan hanya dua
tahunan. Karena vokalisnya jarang memiliki waktu untuk latihan Independence
meminjam vokalis VTR band yaitu Wahyu untuk mengisi post vokalis saat
latihan. Karena sering latihan bersama, kekompakan pun terjalin. Selanjutnya
Agung sang gitarist dari VTR band menyusul Wahyu untuk bergabung dengan
Independence band. Masuknya Agung membuat perubahan posisi di tubuh band ini.
Hadi yang semula merupakan Gitarist bergeser menjadi bassist, sementara Eric
bergeser menjadi Keyboardist. Setelah itu nama Independence band diganti menjadi
dr. Ind (Dreams of Independence). Selanjutnya pada akhir November
menjelang Desember tercetuslah ide untuk melakukan perombakan pada tubuh band
ini. Akhirnya terbentuklah Atanibosha dengan personil Wahyu
(Vokalist), Agung (Gitarist), Syamsul (Gitarist), Hadi (Bassist), Eric(
Keyboardist) dan Rizky (Drummer).

Japanis, Metal, Rock, pop slow, melow, reggae, alternative dan lain-lain.
Intinya kami mencoba untuk menggabungkan berbagai jenis musik sehingga memberi
dapat memberi warna tersendiri. Kalau inspirasinya sich datang dari J-Rock's,
Muse, Avenged seven vold, MCR dan lain-lain.

Harapan dari aTaNibOshA....

Yah,, untuk harapan sih simple saja. Semoga para pecinta musik dapat menghargai
kerja keras musisi dengan cara tidak membeli bajakan. Pokoknya semua orang itu
bisa saling menghargai, saling menghormati kalu bisa saling mencintai hehehe....

Hijau Daun adalah band asal Lampung yang terbentuk pada tahun 2001. Dengan mengusung lagu beraliran pop progresif, Hijau Daun menyuguhkan nuansa khas di belantika musik Indonesia.

Grup band yang terdiri dari lima personel, Dide (vokal), Array dan Arya (gitar), Deny (drum), dan Richan (bas), telah dikontrak label Sony BMG sejak 31 April 2008, untuk tiga album, di luar album kompilasi, religi, akuistik, dan soundtrack.

Soal nama bandnya yang cukup unik, Hijau Daun, filosofinya berasal dari klorofil yang memberikan oksigen bagi kehidupan. Sehingga Hijau Daun dapat memberikan oksigen baru dalam kehidupan musik.

Cokelat adalah nama Grup musik asal Bandung yang berdiri tanggal 25 Juni 1996. Grup musik ini memilih nama "Cokelat" karena mereka ingin musik yang mereka suguhkan bisa dinikmati oleh semua kalangan, seperti halnya makanan cokelat. Profil Anima band

Anima kependekan dari Anak Seni Berlima, sebuah band asal Bandung yang terbentuk pada 4 Januari 2003, lima sekawan ini bergulat dalam belantara musik tanah air melalui jalur label indie. Anima sendiri dalam bahasa latin berarti "Jiwa" mencoba menawarkan lagu-lagunya dengan harapan dapat meresap kedalam jiwa setiap pendengarnya. Melalui debut album berjudul Bintang, perlahan tapi pasti mereka merebut perhatian pencinta musik Indonesia .

Seiring berjalannya waktu, N'kan mengundurkan diri dan digantikan oleh Roby. Anima pun menambahkan personel kibordis yaitu Jijil. Mereka pun merilis album kedua bertajuk 'Matahari'.

Profil Angkasa Band

Angkasa adalah band asal Cianjur yang terbentuk pada 23 November 2004, awalnya adalah band panggung dengan warna klasik rock. Mereka juga kerap membawakan lagu-lagu milik Bon Jovi, U2, Mr Big atau Dewa. Masing-masing mereka memiliki latar belakang musik rock. Itu yang menyatukan jiwa mereka sampai sekarang. Lingkungan yang kondusif menjadikan Angkasa Band berkembang pesat. Mereka menjadi Juara I Festival Band tingkat SLTA tahun 2004, dan Juara III Musikalisasi Puisi Se Jawa Barat di tahun yang sama. Kemudian mereka juga menjadi Juara I Pentas Merdeka tahun 2006, dan Juara III Lomba Cipta Lagu Se Jabar tahun 2007. Band ini juga sempat ikut ajang Dreamband tahun 2005 yang menjadikan Ato terpilih dalam tiga besar untuk kategori vokalis. Hanya saja, dia memutuskan untuk tetap bersama Angkasa.

Blessing in disguise, pamor itu juga yang membawa mereka ke tangan produser Harry Tasman yang kemudian membawa mereka berkenalan dengan label sebesar Warner Music Indonesia. Dalam waktu singkat mereka akhirnya menandatangani kontrak untuk membuat album yang sesungguhnya. Lahirlah album JPS dengan hit JPS, Luka, Asya, Cemburu Buta, Cinta Berat, Putuskan Aku, Teman, Tyas, Yang Berlalu Biarlah, dan Akulah Yang Bisa.

Profil Alexa

ALEXA berawal dari pertemanan Satrio dan JMono. Satrio adalah ex-gitaris Maliq n D'essentials dan JMono adalah session bassist dari beberapa band termasuk Parkdrive. Mengambil dasar dari musik rock yang merupakan influence mereka di awal karir musiknya, mereka membuat beberapa lagu dan akhirnya bertemu dengan beberapa teman mereka yang dianggap cocok untuk mendukung musik tersebut. Rizki yang tergabung dalam Manis Sedap Songwriting Team pada posisi gitar, Fajar drummer Stepforward dan Aqi yang pernah tergabung dalam Tiket setuju untuk bergabung.

Mereka sepakat untuk memiliki nama band yang biasa dijadikan nama seseorang dan terutama wanita, agar seimbang dengan personel yang cowok semua, seperti konsep yin-yang. Kebetulan dari list yang ada ALEXA adalah yang paling gampang diingat merupakan nama salah satu Dewi di Yunani.

ALEXA menawarkan musik powerpop dengan basic mainstream rock. Musik ALEXA sangat terpengaruh oleh latar belakang masing-masing personel yang berbeda-beda. Satrio mendengarkan segala macam musik mungkin berat ke pop,soul dan Jazz, dan Rizky juga banyak terpengaruh musik yang sama tapi dengan tambahan musik rock atau pun Aqi yang kental dengan Alternative Rock dan Fajar yang sangat menggemari Hardcore-Metal sehingga untuk spesifikasi genre kita serahkan ke masyarakat. Penggabungan konsep musik itu menjadikan musik yang mereka inginkan dan dari segi penulisan lirik, ALEXA didominasi dari pengalaman pribadi ataupun teman-teman sekitar.

Ada Band terbentuk tahun 1996 dengan anggota Ibrahim Imran (Baim), Iso Eddy H, Elif Ritonga (E'el), dan Khrisna Balagita. Tahun 1997, Ada Band merilis album perdana. Pasca album perdana, mereka vakum 2,5 tahun. Juli 1999 album kedua pun dirilis. Setelah album kedua E'el dan Iso hengkang. Rama Yaya Muktio kemudian bergabung sebagai drummer. Desember 2001, Baim hengkang. Ada Band vakum kembali.

Awal 2003, Ada Band kembali dengan formasi Krishna (keyboard), Dika Satjadibrata (bass), Rama Yaya (drum), Marshall Suryarachman (gitar) dan Donnie Sibarani (vokal). Dengan formasi ini Ada Band merilis 'Metamorphosis' di bawah label EMI. di 2008 Khrisna pun hengkang.

Slank dibentuk tahun1983. Awalnya band ini bernama CSC singkatan dari Cikini Stone Complex yang terdiri dari anak-anak SMA Perguruan Cikini. Namun sayang band ini tak bertahan lama. Bimbim meneruskan semangat bermusik mereka dengan kedua saudaranya Denny dan Erwan membentuk Red Evil yang kemudian berganti nama jadi Slank dengan personel tambahan Bongky (gitar) dan Kiki (gitar). Kediaman Bimbim di Jl. Potlot 14 jadi markas besar mereka.

Dengan perjuangan panjang akhirnya dengan formasi ke-13, Bimbim, Kaka, Bongky, Pay dan Indra, Slank baru solid. Setelah merampungkan album ke-5 Slank kehilangan Indra, Bongky dan Pay yang hengkang. Kaka dan Bimbim tetap menggarap album ke-6 dengan bantuan additional. Baru di album ke-7, masuklah Ivan, Abdee dan Ridho yang meneruskan perjuangan Slank hingga kini.

Back home, Bullet For My Valentine have graced the covers of the UK’s Kerrang!, Rock Sound, Total Guitar, Big Cheese, Metal Hammer and more. They won Metal Hammer’s 2006 “Golden God Award” for Best British Band, and the 2006 Kerrang! award for “Best UK Single” for their track Tears Don’t Fall. In the US, Revolver magazine heralded the band “British Import of the Year,” and debut album The Poison generated the hit singles Tears Don’t Fall and All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me) with the video for All These Things I Hate going to the #1 spot on MTV2 in the US and on the A-list in the UK.

On January 28th 2008, Bullet For My Valentine are set to return with
Scream Aim Fire (20-20/Jive/SonyBMG), the band’s highly anticipated sophomore release. The 11-track assault was produced by Colin Richardson (Machine Head, Funeral For A Friend) and recorded at Sonic Ranch just outside of El Paso, TX in early 2007, and is, according to front man Matt Tuck, “really melodic heavy metal…catchy, hooky choruses and full-on vocals with the music being very in-your-face and heavy…it’s a lot more up-tempo than The Poison, a lot more aggressive.”

Featuring the distinctive and powerful six-string dexterity of Michael “Padge” Padget, the unwavering instrumental groove of bassist Jason “Jay” James and the relentless thundering rhythms of Michael “Moose” Thomas, the musical backbone of Bullet is an intimidating force. With a lifetime of classic metal inspiration behind him, vocalist/guitarist Tuck is a formidable and powerful voice for the ever energetic, young metal generation.

“We have stepped it up a gear,” says the front-man. “This album is chock full of classic Bullet ingredients. Metal riffs, pounding rhythms, shredding solos and great melodies. We took everything that we learnt from The Poison, and took up tenfold. Better, fresher, harder, sadder and more real.”

Opening with the aural assault of the title track and first single -Scream Aim Fire – to the hard-hitting riff slammer of Waking The Demon and the arena-ballad epic Hearts Burst Into Fire this album will definitely catapult Bullet into a world-wide spotlight.

Scream Aim Fire set the benchmark for the rest of the album,” says Tuck. “It was the moment we realized the direction of where we wanted the record to go. Lyrically, it’s not a saying that anyone can relate anything else to. It’s ours and the meaning is ours alone. Kill or be killed – that’s what this game is like. You’re either on top of the game, or you are out, and we are very much still in. Our quality of song writing, our structures, our timing – the songs are intense and accessible, whilst still keeping our metal roots.”

Tuck believes that the band’s unique accessibility lies in the fact that fans – regardless of age, gender or nationality – can relate to the subjects and issues tackled within their tracks.

“It’s important to us that fans can make a connection with our songs,” says the front-man. “For example, Waking The Demon is about being bullied at school – which is something that me and most of the boys went though. The track is about one day, just turning round, and deciding to not take it anymore. I’d hope that our fans can relate to that.”

And despite the fact that these four musicians are now considered prominent players in the UK/European metal world, as well as serious up-and-comers over in the US. – the lads remain grounded (all still living in their native Welsh homeland) – and eternally grateful for the position that they now find themselves in.

“If it wasn’t for the fans, we would never even have been able to make this second album,” says Tuck. “We are so thankful to them, and we will always try to deliver the goods. I know we had to cancel a load of shows last year (Tuck was hospitalized in the winter of 2006 and forced to undergo surgery on his tonsils), but it hurt us so much to do so. We really hated to let anyone down, but it was an unavoidable evil, and now I am confident that this record – and this band – are stronger than ever.”

To support the release of Scream Aim Fire, Bullet for My Valentine will set off on what will be more than two years of solid, worldwide touring, starting in the UK and Europe in January and February, 2008, and then moving out to the States at the end of February.

“We are still so hungry for this,” states Tuck. “We are motivated and ambitious. We know where we want to be. We have played with legends and if we get to that level, it would be amazing. Profil Panic at The Disco

For a second, forget everything you already know about Panic! At The Disco. That means forgetting that the band’s 2005 debut A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out has sold over 2.2 million copies to date; that their video for I Write Sins Not Tragedies became a #1 hit on MTV and snagged one of the network’s video music awards for best video in 2006; and, finally, erasing from your mind all of the sold-out clubs the band have played over the past three years and the ubiquity of Panic! At The Disco’s music—and mugs—on radio stations, television programs and magazine covers all over the world.

These days, a sensation like Panic! At The Disco is something extremely rare and impossible to invent and for those two reasons alone, most bands in their position would stick to the same signature sound for their second disc. However, Panic! At The Disco aren’t most bands. Instead, the band—guitarist Ryan Ross, drummer Spencer Smith, vocalist Brendon Urie and bassist Jon Walker—decided to make the album they wanted to make for their sophomore release. While the album is equally as catchy and infectious as their debut, Pretty. Odd. sees the band digging through their parents’ record crates to craft an expansive pop album that channels the ghosts of Brian Wilson and the Beatles as well as lesser-known pop sensations like the Zombies. However, for a while even the band weren’t sure if Pretty. Odd. would ever come to fruition.

Panic! At The Disco began writing the album a year ago, but after they’d written a solid batch of concept-driven songs, they stopped to reevaluate what they were doing and ended up deciding they were over thinking the process. “Instead of really throwing anything away, we decided to just move it to the side and approach the second record the same way we did the first record,” Ross explains. “We tried to approach the songs individually and write songs that didn’t sound like anything else we’ve written,” he continues. “Now we’re finally at the point where we can sit down and listen to the finished record and I know we’re happy with it, so I think it was a really good decision—especially since we hope that we’re going to have multiple opportunities to fully realize what our first idea was in the future.”

That’s not too say Pretty. Odd. isn’t dripping with ambition—in fact, if anything, the opposite is true. From the bouncy and psychedelic first single (and accompanying video) Nine In The Afternoon to the spaghetti-western shuffle of the horn-driven Pas De Cheval and the straight-ahead pop genius of Northern Downpour, Pretty. Odd. sees the band stepping outside their comfort zone to prove how much they’ve grown up since their debut, which was written when the members were just seventeen years old. “It wasn’t a conscious decision to have older influences show through on this record, it just seemed like around the beginning of the sixties there were less subgenres, so it wasn’t weird for songs to have a trombone part or violin part,” Smith explains, adding that in some ways, his parents’ dusty old records helped sonically liberate the band. “I think that will probably something that will stick with us after this record.”

Another huge difference between these two albums is the fact that Pretty. Odd.’s basic instrumentation was recorded at the Palms Hotel in the band’s hometown of Las Vegas, while the strings and mixing was done at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London with the help of their producer, Grammy and Emmy Award winning arranger/composer Rob Mathes. “It was an amazing experience,” Smith says, adding that recording the strings in studio two of Abbey Road was a pretty surreal experience for a band who had to call their label’s owner John Janick to approve three hundred dollars to hire a trumpet player to play on their debut. “We’re really happy with how the orchestration turned out on this record and that’s probably the biggest change from the last album,” Spencer confirms.

In the spirit of acts like the David Bowie and Pink Floyd, Panic! At The Disco plan on continuing their tradition of elaborate stage shows and performances for the subsequent touring. However this time around they’re finally confident in having their music speak for itself, which is an achievement the band have looked forward to since their inception. “I just hope that if anything people are open to the idea that Pretty. Odd. may not sound exactly like the first record,” Ross explains. “All we can ask for is that people give it a chance because there are a lot of songs that sound very different, but I think it’s more creative and more musically interesting than most of what is at the top of the charts right now.”

Guns N’ Roses Overview:
A colossal hard rock force of the late 1980s and early ‘90s, Guns N’ Roses may have suffered a serious dent to their reputation in subsequent years, but for a short time they set the gold standard for rock ‘n’ roll attitude. Led by temperamental frontman Axl Rose, who is the only remaining member from its commercial heyday, Guns N’ Roses fused punk intensity and classic-rock song structure that proved to be a more authentic slice of hard rock and metal than their hair-metal contemporaries could ever hope to deliver.
Early Days:
Guns N’ Roses formed in the mid-‘80s in Los Angeles. Axl Rose and guitarist Izzy Stradlin, who had been in a band together called Hollywood Rose, teamed up with some members of L.A. Guns to start a new group. But after much lineup shuffling, none of the L.A. Guns members remained, replaced by guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Steven Adler. Calling themselves Guns N’ Roses, the band successfully toured on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, signing to Geffen Records in 1986. After releasing a quickie EP, Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide, the band set to work on their first full-length album.
Unleashing 'Appetite for Destruction':
1987’s Appetite for Destruction is arguably the definitive hard rock album of the 1980s, a scary, compelling, oddly beautiful look at depravity, addiction and desperate stabs at love. Unlike much of the good-time rock ‘n’ roll being peddled by hair-metal bands of the era, there was nothing safe about the sex-and-drugs vision Guns N’ Roses sold to their audience. Rose’s vocals – high-pitched but lethal – and Slash’s muscular hard rock solos matched up perfectly with a crushing rhythm section to give a sense of authenticity to Appetite’s songs. The album has since gone 18-times platinum.
Controversy:
Wanting to continue the sales momentum made possible by Appetite, the band released G N' R Lies the following year. Combining the Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide EP with some new tracks, Lies was mostly a way to wring more dollars out of GNR’s fans before the official follow-up, but it turned out to cause nothing but headaches for the band. One of the new tracks, “One in a Million,” received immediate criticism for its homophobic and bigoted lyrics, opening the door to accusations that Guns N’ Roses weren’t so much documenters of the seedy side of life but actually revelers in its ugliest aspects.
A Sprawling Double Album:
Trying to top Appetite, Guns N’ Roses got insanely ambitious on their next release. Clocking in at around 150 minutes and divided into two separate albums, 1991’s Use Your Illusion records didn’t have the focus of Appetite for Destruction, but their stylistic breadth was astounding, covering everything from orchestral ballads to techno to classic rock. Though enormously successful, the records also reflected band tension – drummer Matt Sorum had replaced Steven Adler, and Izzy Stradlin was unhappy with Rose’s desire to expand the group’s reach beyond hard rock.
The Beginning of the End:

The wheels fell off after the Illusion albums. After releasing an album of covers called "The Spaghetti Incident?" in 1993, the band essentially ceased to exist. The pivotal moment most fans point to was Slash’s decision to leave the band in ’96, which, coupled with the defections of other core members, gave Rose sole control of the Guns N’ Roses brand. Undeterred, Rose continued to work on material, recruiting different session players and hiring new band members, only to see them leave and be replaced by other musicians. Slash went on to form Velvet Revolver with other former GNR members and never looked back.
What Is 'Chinese Democracy'?:
Chinese Democracy, Axl Rose’s long-gestating follow-up to the Use Your Illusion records, has been rumored to come out on several different occasions. Leaked songs, allegedly from the Chinese Democracy sessions, have surfaced from time to time, but the critical response to them was tepid at best. Best Buy announced that its chain stores would exclusively sell Chinese Democracy in 2008, but after years of promised release dates that never came to fruition, fans were understandably not holding their breath. Nevertheless, the album was officially released on November 23.
